Shower Tray Sizes Guide – Everything You Need To Know Before Purchasing One

You will be pleased with the wide range of styles and sizes available when it comes to selecting a shower tray. You need to consider the space available for the shower enclosure as well as how it will affect the rest of your bathroom. You can mark the space that the shower tray will take up to help you visualize how it will fit in with other bathroom accessories. You can fit a shower tray in a wide variety of bathroom spaces because there are so many options.

How do you decide which size shower tray is best for you? Use our handy guide to find the right size shower tray for you.

Shower Tray Sizes Guide:

Small:

Shower trays of smaller dimensions are best if you're looking to add a bathroom or en-suite shower or to install one in a small space. A 700 x 700 square shower tray is the smallest size that we have in stock. This size is perfect for a corner bathroom and still provides ample shower space. Because of their smaller dimensions, square shower trays are popular for small bathrooms.

Because of their compact dimensions, quadrant shower trays can be used to create small shower enclosures. This type starts at 800 x 800 mm. Quadrant shower trays have the advantage of having a curved front that takes up less space in your bathroom while still offering ample showering space. A quadrant shape's curved front gives your bathroom a softening effect, as opposed to its straight edges and angles.

Medium:

Standard shower tray sizes are ideal for small bathrooms or if you're renovating an existing bathroom. The quadrant and square designs can be ordered in slightly larger sizes (900mm x 900mm and 1000mm x 1000mm). These sizes are big enough to allow for a decent shower area, without making the enclosure too large.

Rectangular shower trays work well for medium-sized enclosures. They have two slightly longer sides, which allows for more shower space. A medium-sized rectangular tray would have a long side length of approximately 1000mm. You can choose from a narrow 700mm to a wider 900mm depending upon what size is best for you. Medium-sized shower trays offer the best of both worlds: a large shower area and a small footprint in your bathroom.

Large:

If you have a large bathroom or wish to make your shower the focal point of your bathroom, then you will love the large range of shower trays. There is a greater demand for larger shower trays due to the increased number of people who want to make a walk-in shower or wet area. Walk-in shower trays as large as 1700 x 900mm can be used to create an extravagant showering area.

The offset quadrant shower tray is another popular size in the large shower tray collection. It's essentially a rectangular shape with an angled front at one end. There are many sizes available, with the largest being a 1200x900mm tray. Shower trays with large dimensions can take up to twice as much space as a standard bath.

We have the right size shower bases for you, whether you want to build a luxurious shower enclosure or need to fit an enclosure in an existing bathroom. This guide will help you choose the right size shower tray for your bathroom.
